Mechanicals

No mechanical problems. I've never had any real trouble with the Jeep. A couple of years ago the transfer case started sticking a bit, so I had it serviced and it has been fine. Other than that it has only needed standard service.

Exterior

No major dents, rust, etc. There are some scratches and door and shopping cart dings. Nothing I would consider unusual for a 7 year old vehicle in normal use. A couple of years back the windshield got starred by a rock on the highway and I had it replaced. The outer panel on the liftgate and the left-rear body panel were replaced after a motorcycle slammed into me at a red light a few years ago. It was all cosmetic.

Interior

The interior is in good condition. I'm a non-smoker and don't allow smoking in my vehicles, and I don't own any pets so there is no fur, etc. The frame on the driver's seat broke, so I replaced the entire seat with one from a totalled Cherokee. To match the interior I had to use a seat from a 4 door model, so the seat no longer folds forward as it normally does in a 2 door. It hasn't been a problem.
